Woodland Springs Touring Caravan Park An adult-only site
set on the north-eastern edge of Dartmoor, Woodland Springs is ideally situated to explore the whole of West and South Devon in addition to being a great gateway for those travelling to Cornwall. We are 20 minutes from the city of Exeter and only 10 minutes from Okehampton where there are beautiful local shops and convenient supermarkets.

Located on the northern edge of Dartmoor National Park, Woodland Springs offers unrivalled countryside tranquillity and relaxation, set in beautiful rolling hills. The park is just a few minutes’ drive from the A30 dual carriageway, meaning that we’re in a great place for a longer stay where you can explore the wider area at your convenience.
We’re just a short ten-minute drive from the higher parts of the moorland, where you can walk, cycle or ride your way around the moor’s rugged landscape and see the iconic Dartmoor ponies and tors. The cathedral city of Exeter is 18 miles away on the A30, with a range of excellent shopping, dining and sightseeing for visitors. Sandy beaches, Plymouth and The Eden Project are also within easy reach. In summer, consider going to Chagford’s Open Air Swimming Pool

4 Very different mobile units to introduce you into the experience of living in a caravan or motorhome.
2 Luxury Swift caravans and a Swift motorhome, fully equipped kitchen, fresh bedding, TV & radio. For you to use as a base to explore the beautiful Dartmoor countryside. All units include a fully equipped kitchen, 2 bed areas (4 berth) with a central bathroom to keep disturbances to a minimum.
Just to be different, a Mercedes Sprinter based custom campervan conversion, again sleeping 4 people (bedding included) and a fully equipped toilet/shower and kitchen.
All you have to do is turn up and enjoy.

Our prices include:

Our check in times are from 1pm until 7pm unless previously agreed.
Please note we have the following minimum stays throughout the season:
- Bank Holidays - 3 nights
- Weekends - 2 nights for Pods
- Weekends - 2 nights for all pitches during high season (June, July, August & September)

From the East - come off the M5 onto the westbound A30, signposted Bodmin. From Exeter it is roughly 20 miles to the Whiddon Down turnoff (Hog & Hedge services). Follow the road through Whiddon Down and take the left turn at the roundabout to follow the A382 (Bovey Tracey). Woodland Springs is roughly a mile down the road and signposted 200 yds before the left turn into Venton and the campsite itself. Please ignore your sat nav if it tries to take you onto the Cheriton Bishop turnoff. This road is not suitable for caravans or motorhomes.
From the West - Take the A30 and 8 miles past Okehampton, follow the sign for the Whiddon Down services.
From the South & South West - Use the A38 up to the Bovey Tracey/Newton Abbot turn off, also marked for Trago Mills. Follow the A382 north, through Bovey Tracey. Woodland Springs will be on your right roughly 5 miles after Mortenhampstead & Castle Drogo. Please be careful. The A382 is single track in short lengths and is used by large commercial vehicles as well as cars.
