Presteigne Caravan Holiday Park
is a small family-run Powys caravan park set on the site of the former New Radnor railway station, offering a range of static holiday caravans to buy. Situated in beautiful countryside on the Welsh Border close to the village of New Radnor. Presteigne Holiday Park is an excellent base for walking, biking or simply relaxing. We are surrounded by an abundance of history and wildlife. Each caravan has its own panoramic scenic view. From the Smatcher forest behind, to the countryside surrounding the park; you’ll find a range of entertainment activities whatever the season or weather.
New Radnor was once a medieval town which is still overlooked by the mound of the old Motte and Bailey Castle. In the village you will find ESCO’s (the local shop), a children’s playground and tennis court. There are a number of good eating-houses to be found close by.
Welcome to the Railway Station Cottage
Situated on the New Radnor Railway Station which opened on the 25th September 1875 and closed in December 1951. Thereafter becoming a caravan park in 1966. What is now the Railway Station Cottage nestled in the heart of the caravan park would have been in 1875 to 1951 the station building. Within this ticket office building passengers will have waited for the train and purchased tickets. The booking office window and original fireplace can be seen in what is now the dining room. The station platform has also been restored. The building has been modernised whilst keeping many of the original features.

Locally, the village of New Radnor hosts a selection of independent stores and eateries for you to sample and includes The Hub – a pop-up pub which is run from the community hall whilst the actual village pub is being renovated. You will also find Esco’s the local village shop providing fresh daily produce.
A great place to walk the dogs meanwhile is the nearby 100 acres Smatcher Forest. 0.1 miles away. Ideal for those planning a walking holiday.
Travel a little further across the border to Kington and explore its Victorian high street, marvel at the town’s 12th-century church and sample some of the local delicacies.
For more adventurous days, venture westwards to Llandrindod Wells and discover its various attractions; the Rock Park, lakeside walks, the Heritage Railway and motorcycling museum and the Victorian Festival Gardens to name a few.
Also, just a short drive away is popular Hay-On-Wye, with its numerous book shops, craft and antique shops, along with hosting the famous Hay Festival each Spring.
