Ludlow Farm Shop

Welcome to Ludlow Farmshop, the new name for Ludlow Food Centre. One of the challenges that we have here is communicating the scope of who we are and what we do. The previous Food Centre was born out of the idea to create a shop in which to sell the array of produce from our farms and land which extend to some 8,000 acres surrounding the shop. In order for us to go back to our roots we felt that Farmshop better described who we are and what we do. We produce over half of the products we sell on site, and this hasn’t changed. In fact, what we have looked to do is open more windows into the production areas so that you can see your food being made.

Ludlow Farmshop is a one-of-a-kind food shopping experience where farming, food production and retailing come together to create an award-winning environment. We are part of the Earl of Plymouth’s Oakly Park Estate which extends to approximately 8,000 acres of Shropshire countryside of which we farm in hand 6,500 acres. All of our beef, lamb and Gloucester Old Spot pork comes from our farm along with the milk used to make our cheese and dairy products. We have a herd of wild fallow deer roaming the Estate and a bountiful supply of wild game at certain times of the year.

We are passionate about local food, with 80% of the food we sell coming from Shropshire and its surrounding counties. Ludlow Farmshop is designed to not only sell food but to produce it and over half of our products are made in our production units that surround the shop floor. These are visible through glass windows that allow you to see our artisan producers making your food by hand.
