information
This attraction is set within a site of outstanding natural beauty. The 300 ft waterfalls are stunning and can be seen from the many view points along the 45 minute nature trail walk. ( Entry fees apply) For some it is a challenging walk but it boasts stunning scenery as you descend down the gorge and then climb back up the other side. Different rare ferns and moss grow in its micro climate and it's a safe haven for birds and other wildlife. The steps are steep and uneven but there are hand rails and safety fences. Descend Jacobs Ladder where there are 100 steps all in one flight and cross over the humped bridge spanning the Mynach river before heading back up. Use the free telescope to view the distant Cambrian mountains or Gyfarllwyd Falls on the Rheidol river.
For those who are more interested in architecture or heritage sites then it's definitely worth the £1 entry fee to see the unique three bridges built one on top of the other spanning over the deep crevice and 'Punch Bowl'.
Legend says that the devil built the first bridge to outwit an old lady in exchange for her sole.
Free car park
Refreshments available nearby.
Not suitable for pushchairs or for those who have difficulties in walking or loss of sight. The main walk contains 675 steep and uneven steps.
